Long-Term Approaches to Appalachian Investment Needed Given Region’s Coal Projections — a new report from MACED about promoting a long-term investment in Appalachian Kentucky with a permanent coal severance tax fund.
WMMT's video follows energy specialists on a home energy audit through How$martKY™. The video takes a look at How$martKY, a pilot program being carried out by the MACED and four rural electric cooperatives in eastern Kentucky.
An analysis of the impacts a Renewable and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard (REPS) could have in Kentucky. The study concludes that making small but significant steps to begin diversifying Kentucky’s portfolio over the next ten years will lower the bills of Kentucky’s residents, business owners, and industrial facilities compared to their bills without a clean energy standard.
